CHUPA CHUPS 'CHOOSE YOUR FLAVOUR' VENDING MACHINE

As the furor over artificial colourants and flavourings in children's food gathers momentum, parents will approve of Chupa Chups' vending machines. Chupa Chups, the world's biggest manufacturer of lollipops, are made in Barcelona by the million. Eleven million Chupa Chups lollipops are eaten in over 150 countries around the world each day.

Chupa Chups lollipops not only contain no artificial colourants, but are also low in fat - the best selling fruit flavours being totally fat free. Chupa Chups originated in Barcelona, Spain, in 1958 and, in 1983, Chupa Chups introduced their first lollipops into the UK. Chupa Chups now holds a massive 66 per cent market share of the top five lollipops in the UK. The total lollipop market has grown 16 per cent year on year, with Chupa Chups being the major contributor with its Classic lollipop alone growing a massive 39 per cent over this period.

Chupa Chups has come together with its Spanish vending partner Discapa to offer you the unique Chupa Chups 'Choose your flavour' vending machine, vending Chupa Chups Classis lollipops. Chupa Chups are arranged inside the machine by flavour, and customers select their flavour of choice by simply rotating the cylinder and turning the dispenser handle.

The machine, which holds 336 Chupa Chups of the five best-selling flavours, vends at 20p per lolly (?67 fill @ RSP) giving excellent margins and high cash turnover. The 'Choose your flavour' machine has been specially designed so its size is appropriate for many locations, with a small footprint verses other vending machines, yet still offering high cash returns, backed up by low-cost maintenance.

The machine measures: length 420 x Width 385 x Height 690 mm, with the stand (base plus wheels ) being length 560 x width 560 x height 920 mm.

The vend cost of 20p gives quick payback for a household brand name which is frequently featured on national television.

Chupa Chups has a wide consumer base covering kids, students and adults of all ages and is stocked by all the major high-street retailers and CTNs.

Chupa Chups as previously mentioned is a well-supported brand with the 2003 marketing spend in excess of ?2mn covering national TV/cinema/sampling and numerous magazine and press features. This level of marketing investment makes Chupa Chups the largest spender in its category and significantly ahead of its nearest competitor.
The Chupa Chups 'Choose you flavour' machine is widely distributed in many prime UK sites such as leisure centres, theme parks, major office buildings and universities, offering entertainment for the mouth, purchased at the leisure of the consumer, with no staff involvement required.

The basic cost of the CYF machine is ?199 + ?85 Stand + vat/delivery. However, orders of three or more nets to ?185 + ?75 stand + vat/delivery.
